🍿The Invite
I saw this last weekend, and it’s one of those movies that stays with you long after the credits roll. A little intense at times but also lots of laughs. I didn’t read about how the film was actually made until after I saw it. Directed by Olivia Wilde, it is an adapted screenplay. The cast workshopped the movie for two weeks prior to shooting. They shot the movie in page order and continued to workshop it throughout shooting. Much of it was improv and a couple of monologues were added to the script. If you want to know more, there’s a lot of great behind the scenes interviews. The musical score was as equally compelling as the dialogue. Two thumbs way up!
