EXPERIENCE DALLAS

Why Briarwood’s Location Does So Much of the Heavy Lifting

If I'm explaining Briarwood to someone who doesn't know Dallas particularly well, I usually start with the map.

Not because Briarwood itself is difficult to find, but because once you see what surrounds it, the neighborhood starts to make a lot more sense. Inwood Village and Lovers Lane are right there. Love Field is just a few minutes away. The Park Cities sit to the east, Bluffview is next door, Preston Hollow is to the north, and the Dallas North Tollway makes it relatively easy to move through the center of the city.

Then you turn into Briarwood, and it feels surprisingly residential.

That's really the combination that makes the location work.

Inwood Village Becomes Your Neighborhood Shopping Center

Living close to Inwood Village is one of those conveniences that's easy to underestimate until you actually have it.

Restaurants, shopping, services, the movie theater, groceries, coffee—you can take care of quite a bit of everyday life without going very far. Lovers Lane adds another stretch of local restaurants and shops just around the corner.

None of it sits in the middle of Briarwood, though.

I think that's an important distinction. You get the convenience of having all of this nearby without having a major commercial corridor running through the neighborhood itself. Once you're home, Briarwood still feels like a collection of residential streets.

For a broader look at the neighborhood, including parks, restaurants, shopping, schools, and real estate, start with the Briarwood Neighborhood Guide.

You're Surrounded by Some Very Different Versions of Dallas

Briarwood also sits in an interesting spot because the neighborhoods around it don't all offer the same kind of lifestyle.

Bluffview is immediately nearby, with winding streets, larger lots, mature trees, and the topography that gives it such a distinctive feel. Devonshire is another small residential pocket close to Inwood V
